- from the Main-Kinzig-Kreis the municipalities Bad Orb , Bad Soden-Salmünster , Biebergemünd , Birstein , Brachttal , Flörsbachtal , Freigericht , Gelnhausen , Gründau , Jossgrund , Linsengericht , Schlüchtern , Sinntal , Steinau an der Straße and Wächtersbach as well as the manor district Spessart
- from the Wetteraukreis the communities Altenstadt , Büdingen , Gedern , Glauburg , Hirzenhain , Kefenrod , Limeshain and Ortenberg
- from the Vogelsbergkreis the community of Schotten .
history
In Hesse, the number of federal electoral districts was increased from 21 to 22 for the 2013 federal election. The constituency structure in East Hesse was fundamentally changed and an additional constituency Main-Kinzig - Wetterau II - Schotten was set up. The new constituency was formed from areas that previously belonged to the constituencies of Gießen , Fulda , Wetterau and Hanau .
Election 2017
The 2017 federal election took place on September 24, 2017. In Hesse , 20 parties wanted to apply with their state list; the Alliance of German Democrats withdrew their application. The violet ones were rejected by the state electoral committee because the required two thousand signatures for support were not presented. Thus 18 parties applied with their state lists in Hesse. A total of 353 applicants are running on the state lists, less than a third (114) of them women.
Peter Tauber won the direct mandate again. Bettina Müller and Mariana Harder-Kühnel entered the Bundestag via the state lists of their parties.
