TELON

TELON , later called CA-Telon, is the first commercial program generator for commercial applications. The programs are designed with TELON and TELON generates a source text in a conventional mainframe programming language from the draft .

TELON is sold and maintained by CA Technologies . When it was first introduced in 1981 (at that time by the Pansophic company), it was the first CASE tool on the market.

The tool usually runs on IBM mainframes under the MVS or z / OS operating system and usually generates Cobol or PL / I sources.
