CIVIC Education Study

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The CIVIC Education Study is an international comparative study on the political education of 14 to 19 year olds. It was carried out by the International Evaluation Association in 1999–2000.

Results

The political knowledge of German students is average. They showed a comparatively low willingness to become politically active. Particularly noticeable was their poorly developed socio-integrative orientation and the highest xenophobia among 28 countries.

In contrast to the PISA results, the results did not attract any public attention.
