history

EasyMobile

The EasyGroup of the Greek entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou concluded a joint venture on August 10, 2004 with the Danish telephone company Tele Danmark Communications . TDC was supposed to establish a mobile communications discounter on the British mobile communications market. The joint venture should operate under the corporate branding of the EasyGroup. TDC was able to conclude an agreement with T-Mobile UK on the use of the cellular network based on the Telmore concept ( cellular network provider ). EasyMobile launched in the UK on March 10, 2005 . Concepts were developed for 11 other European countries. After two months, EasyMobile had already won over 15,000 new customers. EasyMobile started in the Netherlands on October 24, 2005 , but stopped working there again in 2006. EasyMobile started on the German mobile phone market on November 1st, 2005 together with Talkline , the German TDC A / S subsidiary. On March 16, 2006, easyMobilePhones, an online shop for mobile phones, was launched in Great Britain.

Callmobile.de

In November 2006 Talkline took over easyMobile 100 percent. The TIH then revoked Talkline's license to the name easyMobile , so that from then on it trades under callmobile , later under callmobile.de . In 2007 Talkline was sold to debitel . In June 2008, debitel ag was taken over by freenet AG . The freenet Group also operates the discount brand klarmobil.de . In February 2009 it was announced that callmobile.de and klarmobil.de would be organizationally merged. The callmobile location in Hamburg will be given up. Both brands are sold from the freenet Group's headquarters in Büdelsdorf . The managing directors are Antonius Fromme and Alexander Borgwardt. Both brand names callmobile.de and klarmobil.de are to continue to be marketed. In August 2015, the company switched to the Vodafone mobile network with the new tariffs. The existing tariffs in the Telekom network will be continued, but in future the company will only offer flat rates and packages in the Vodafone network. To this end, the number of tariffs will be reduced to two.
