Calwer is a family name for the following people:

  • Carl Gustav Calwer (1821–1874), German entomologist and ornithologist
  • Jörg Calwer (1548–1618), hospital nurse, judge and mayor of Tübingen
  • Melchior Metzger (called Calwer) (shortly after 1500 - 1563), judge, city sealer and mayor of Tübingen, as well as landscape deputy and member of the select committee of the landscape
  • Richard Calwer (1868–1927), German journalist, economist, statistician and at times a social democratic politician
