Campylobacteriosis

As campylobacteriosis is referred to diseases caused by bacteria of the genus Campylobacter are caused. Campylobacter spp. can occur in many animal species and play a role in causing food infections ( human Campylobacter enteritis ). Evidence of thermophilic campylobacter strains in cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats and poultry (including pigeons) is subject to mandatory reporting in Germany. In Austria, the infections are subject to notification.
