Cardiff and Ogmore Railway

The Cardiff and Ogmore Railway was a British railway company based in South Wales .

The company received on July 21, 1873 permission to build a 13 kilometer long railway line from Llanharan to the route of the Ogmore Valley Railways at Lewistown . The route, exclusively used for freight transport, was put into operation on October 2, 1876. As early as June 1875, the management had been agreed with the Great Western Railway .

The company was taken over on July 1, 1876 by the Llynvi and Ogmore Railway before the line went into operation .
