Carlo Capacci

Carlo Capacci (born January 14, 1963 ) is an Italian local politician (non-party). He has been Lord Mayor of the Italian port city of Imperia since 2013 .

Capacci studied administrative sciences at the University of Turin and graduated with a Laurea Magistrale.

Local politics

In the election for mayor of the Italian port city of Imperia in 2013, with the support of the Partito Democratico (PD) party, he prevailed against the incumbent Mayor Paul Strescino , supported by the socialist party . In the first ballot, Capacci received 46.83% of the vote. In the vote, the opposing candidate Erminio Annoni (center-right) received 28.2% of the vote. In the second ballot on June 10, Capacci won the mayor's chair with 76.14% of the vote.
