The Carnuntum Legionaries are an Austrian American football club from Fischamend . The association was founded in February 2011 in Bruck an der Leitha .
The team takes part in the Austrian championship and is currently playing in the 4th division (5th league). In addition to the football team, the club also has a cheerdance group, and since June 2018 has also had its own football youth program.
Club history
In February 2011 the Carnuntum Legionaries were founded. The headquarters of the association was in Bruck an der Leitha until September 2016. However, the games were played in Winden / See, Höflein and Rohrau.
In 2016 there were only a few players left with the club and so the entire board resigned. Under the new board it was decided to reorganize the association and relocate the association's headquarters to Fischamend.
In September 2016 it was announced together with the municipality of Fischamend that a new home had been found in Fischamend. Since then, the roster has been steadily increased.
The new football youth program was launched in June 2018. In 2019 the legionaries will be playing in the Austrian flag football league in the U15 and U13 classes.
