The Center national de recherche en anthropologie sociale et culturelle (CRASC) (translated: National Center for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology ) is an Algerian civil human science research institution founded in 1992 with headquarters in Oran , Algeria .
Legal status
Legally, the CRASC has been a public scientific and technological institution since 2003, under the administrative supervision of the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, an Établissement public à caractère scientifique et technologique (EPST).
tasks
The CRASC's task is to develop basic and applied research in social and cultural anthropology . It carries out research to improve the social and human sciences in Algeria, as well as training and qualification of researchers. The national and international exchange of information is also promoted, e. B. by organizing symposia. The CRASC oversees around 200 individual research projects. The results are published in scientific journals such as the Cahiers du CRASC and as monographs.
