Cercamon
Cercamon was one of the first trobadors . His poetic activity, insofar as it can be dated, falls into the years 1137 to 1149.
He spent most of his time at the court of Wilhelm X (Aquitaine) , whose death on April 9, 1137 he dedicated a planh . He may have been a mentor to Marcabru . Seven seals by Cercamon have survived, plus one that cannot be assigned to him with certainty. There is evidence that he died on a crusade in which he followed Louis VII (France) .
