The Champions Indoor Football ( CIF ) is a league for arena football in the USA that was founded in 2014.
history
The CIF is a merger of the two arena football leagues, the Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL) and the Lone Star Football League (LSFL), which came together in 2014 to create a joint league.
The final is called the Champions Bowl .

2015 season
The league started with a total of six teams from the CPIFL and the LSFL. In addition, a team from the Indoor Football League was added and two expansion teams were founded. The Sioux City Bandits won the first ChampionsBowl with 76:61 against Texas Revolution. The final was watched by 3,757 spectators in Sioux City.
2016 season

Mode : 2 conferences with 6 teams each have 12 main round games, whereby the first three teams of each conference qualify for the playoffs.
Participating teams (12) : Sioux City Bandits, Dodge City Law, Omaha Beef, Amarillo Venom, San Angelo Bandits, Texas Revolution, Wichita Force, Duke City Gladiators, Bloomington Edge, Chicago Eagles, Mesquite Marshals, Salina Liberty
In 2016, the Wichita Force won the Champions Bowl with a close 48:45 win against the Amarillo Venom in front of 4,772 spectators. Previously, last year's winner Sioux City failed in the first round.
2017 season
Teams that left the league : Chicago Eagles, San Angelo Bandits, Mesquite Marshals (-> became the Dallas Marshals)
Teams that have been added : Bismarck Bucks , Centex Cavalry , Kansas City Phantoms , West Michigan Ironmen , Dallas Marshals
Mode : 2 conferences with 7 teams each have 12 main round games, whereby the first four teams of each conference qualify for the playoffs.
Participating teams (14) : Sioux City Bandits, Dodge City Law, Omaha Beef, Amarillo Venom, Texas Revolution, Wichita Force, Duke City Gladiators, Bloomington Edge, Salina Liberty, Dallas Marshals, Bismarck Bucks, CenTex Cavalry, Kansas City Phantoms, West Michigan ironmen
Somewhat surprisingly, the Texas Revolution secured the title. In the final, the revolution prevailed against the Omaha beef with 59:49. A new Finals audience record was also set up. The game wanted to see 5,251 spectators.
The newly entered CenTex Cavalry were the worst team in the main round with not a single win.
