The Changhe Z-11 is a copy of the French light helicopter AS 350B Ecureuil of the second largest Chinese helicopter manufacturer Changhe / Jiangdezhen Aircraft Industry Corporation .

The Z-11 weighs around two tons and is a classic six-seater.

The first flight took place in December 1994. The Z-11 is designed as a training and rescue helicopter , but can also be flown for commercial use. The Chinese Ministry of Defense procured 12 machines for training purposes.
