The Regional des Brenets , abbreviated RdB , French name Compagnie du Chemin de fer Régional des Brenets , but under commercial law Compagnie du Régional des Brenets , is a formerly taken over railway company in Switzerland.

history

On September 1, 1890, the Régional des Brenets (RdB) opened the railway line from Le Locle to Les Brenets . See: Le Locle – Les Brenets railway line

Due to the poor economic situation, the merger with the meter-gauge Ponts-Sagne-Chaux-de-Fonds-Bahn (PSC) was initiated on the basis of the Private Railway Aid Act of 1939 , although there is no track connection to it. The merger was implemented after the Second World War on January 1, 1947, from which the Chemins de fer des Montagnes Neuchâteloises (CMN) emerged, which qualified for financial contributions in accordance with Section 2 of the legal text. Under the CMN, the Le Locle – Les Brenets railway line was modernized and electrical operation under 1500 volts direct current with new rolling stock began on July 1, 1950.
