Choice (magazine)

Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries (or Choice Reviews Online ) is a leading review journal for English-language academic books and digital media , which has been published eleven times a year since 1964 . The magazine is published by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), in Chicago , Illinois . It is obtained through approximately 35,000 US libraries and faculty. The reviews are carried out by scientists; between 6,000 and 7,000 reviews appear annually. A list of Outstanding Academic Titles from the previous year is drawn up at the beginning of each year (January edition) . Until 2000 this was called Outstanding Academic Books . The selected books are also available on the website Choice Reviews Online visible.
