Christopher G. Moore (born July 8, 1952 ) is a Canadian writer who lives and works in Bangkok .

life and work

In his crime novels- based works, he describes life in Southeast Asia , especially Thailand . The city of Bangkok, in which he set his protagonist, the private detective Vincent Calvino , is the main setting for his novels , in which both Thai society and the lives of the foreign expats (emigrants) living there are described.

Growing up in Vancouver , Moore initially worked as a law professor at the University of British Columbia after completing his studies in Oxford . In 1983 he discovered Thailand during a trip to Asia and then settled as a freelance writer in Bangkok. He published his first texts on the Internet . As an author, he is particularly successful in the Asian market.
