Cinerama (band)

Cinerama is a British pop band. It was founded in 1998 by David Gedge, the singer of the rock band The Wedding Present , and his girlfriend at the time, Sally Murrell. Cinerama released three studio albums: Va Va Voom (1998), Disco Volante (2000) and Torino (2002). The albums received respectable reviews but were not particularly successful commercially. Gedge and Murrell separated in 2003. When recording the CD Take Fountain , David Gedge decided the official end of Cinerama.

In 2004 the DVD Get Up and Go was released “posthumously” . In the years 2007 to 2014 Cinerama published several compilations, including a. Peel sessions and a live CD.

Cinerama have performed live at David Gedges At the Edge of .. Festival since 2009 . The line-up was essentially the same as that of The Wedding Present. In May 2015, Cinerama plans to completely revise the Wedding Present album Valentina .
