Claas Guitars Leviathan Bass 4-string from 2017

The products are divided into electric guitars and electric basses , with two models: the “Moby Dick” and the “Leviathan”.

The company started as a custom shop, which means that only one-off products were built, primarily for end customers. Claas Guitars has been manufacturing a series of electric guitars and electric basses under the label "Moby Dick Production Line" since 2018 and sells them through dealers.

In all recurring elements of the instruments are the unusual design of the body shape, the extremely long neck connection protruding into the body and the special neck screw connection. In addition, the majority are headless instruments, i.e. guitars and basses without a headstock, whereby the strings are tuned using special mechanisms at the lower end of the body.

Claas Guitars advertises itself with the fact that the instruments "experience the cultural change to more versatility and higher demands [...] participate".
