Clipping

When clipping removal is Tasthaare of horses referred. This questionable practice of " beautifying " a horse is still used today by some breeders for shows and tournaments as well as, for example, at the King's Troop at parades. Since the whisker hair belongs to the horse's organ of touch , clipping is prohibited under German animal welfare law by Section 6 of the TierSchG.
