Codendi is an open-source - solution for an application in the lifecycle management . Codendi offers a system for project assignment, status tracking and requirements management as well as functions for document management and automatic collaboration. Codendi wants to normalize software development and improve collaboration and efficiency. Codendi has been developed by Xerox since 2001 .

Codendi is a generic software: You can develop individually, customer-oriented and user-defined.
- Project requirement and environment
- For each project you can activate either all or only a selection of functions. If you want all projects to be created in the same way, with the same functions and authorizations, you can save this configuration as a matrix and then all future projects for this matrix will be managed accordingly.
- tracker
- The Codendi tracking system is particularly strong because you can adapt it to all personal requirements and because you can develop as many trackers as you need for each project. In the standard version, Codendi offers trackers for creating, selecting and correcting errors, help function and scrum, but you can add any desired error functions.
The access rights also enable detailed control of the configuration. You can define different access rights and user-defined workflows. A customer will not have the same access rights as an engineer or project manager.
