Color Thinner Ratio

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Color Thinner Ratio (unit: CTR ) describes the mixing ratio of a color made from particles and carrier mediumto the respective thinner using percentages. The CTR value indicates the extent to which a ready-made color has beenmixedwith the respective thinner for further processing.

In the example 60 / 40CTR, the first value describes the proportion of finished paint in the mixture, the second value the proportion of thinner.

This abbreviation is often used in discussions about mixing ratios for colors in the airbrush sector. In this area, colors are often thinned beyond the 50% limit. The cumbersome explanation of which number describes which proportion is omitted.
