Compania de Transport Public Cluj

The Compania de Transport Public Cluj ( CTP ) is a local transport company in the Romanian city ​​of Cluj-Napoca , in German Klausenburg . It operates a regular-gauge tram network , trolleybuses and buses . The company operates a total of 44 lines, including some canceled line signals . Of it

  • eight lines with trolleybuses and
  • 36 lines with buses

operated.

The trams, trolleybuses and buses run between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., on weekends the lines start a little later. Since October 2009 there has been night traffic on bus route 25 until around 0:30 a.m. every half hour.

Tram operation

The current tram service was only introduced in 1987. However, between 1893 and 1902, first a horse-drawn tram , and later a steam tram, ran between the city center and the train station. Today's three lines have a total length of 13 kilometers, but run on a single route (two of the lines end at the train station). In addition to used vehicles from Berlin , Magdeburg and Potsdam , new Pesa Swing vehicles have been running on the routes since 2012 .
