Computerized translation

Computer-aided translation can mean two things:

  • The computer translates, and humans help by preparing and post-processing the material to be translated. One speaks here of human-aided machine translation (HAMT): See machine translation .
  • The human translates, the computer supports him. One speaks of machine-aided human translation (MAHT) or computer-aided translation (CAT): See computer -aided translation .
