Constri construction elements

Constri is a plastic plug-in toy that was invented by the Swiss Max Amsler in 1959.

toy

Constri consists of square, flat plastic building blocks in red and blue and white connecting elements. There is a tongue on each of the four side edges of the building blocks, which can be connected to the groove of a connecting element using the tongue-and-groove principle . In this way, large constructions can be implemented quickly and easily. Wheel hub elements (yellow) can be attached to the white connecting elements and wheels (black) can be added to the constructions in this way. In the course of time, the system has been supplemented by various basic geometric shapes and various accessories. Currently (as of January 2019) two construction kits are still being delivered, the Constri construction pack and Constri Construction Type 20 , as well as the extension kit Constri house construction set .

Constri is a plastic toy from the 1960s and was as popular as Lego back then . Although it has almost been forgotten today, it is still widely used in kindergartens, for example.

Companies

After the patenting of the Constri system, Max Amsler founded a production facility in Schinznach-Dorf called Constri Produktions AG in 1964 . Today the company consists of four independent departments: Constri.ch , Constri Baumaterial , Toys And More and pro-spiel . In total, Constri AG employs over 80 people. In addition to the Constri Construction kit, which is still produced today, Constri AG sells other leisure, party and handicraft items and table fireworks . Constri Baumaterial offers built-in parts for concrete construction .
