Contemporary Art Society
The Contemporary Art Society ( CAS ) is an English non-profit organization .
It was founded in London in 1910 with the aim of promoting awareness and appreciation of contemporary art. With the money donated by friends and supporters of the CAS, the community buys works of art, which it then donates to public museums and galleries or makes them available on long-term loan.
Since it was founded, around 8,000 works by various artists have been acquired and awarded by CAS. The CSA maintains a worldwide network and organizes meetings, seminars and conferences. CSA is registered as a charity in the UK under number 208178.
