Contone technique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Contone technology is a printing process developed by Konica Minolta . This technology is used exclusively in the laser printer sector. Up to now it has always been the case that printers placed color dots next to each other on the medium. The Contone technology is now a further development of this additive color impression, as, according to the manufacturer, this technology counteracts the resulting rasterization effect with a paint mist and thus achieves a new color effect. The resulting print image is more true to color and more detailed and thus represents a significant further development in laser printing.
