Crayola
Crayola LLC is an American company best known for its highlighters and colored pencils . Crayola was one of the first companies to produce crayons , chalks , highlighters and other writing materials and other art supplies without toxic substances. Crayola now manufactures many office products and children's toys, including games for the Nintendo DS platform .
Crayola was founded in 1885 by Edwin Binney and Harold C. Smith as Binney & Smith. Since 1903 they have been making wax crayons, among other things .
The company is primarily known in the United States , Canada , Australia , South America , the United Kingdom and other countries. Crayola has been a subsidiary of the greeting card manufacturer Hallmark Cards since 1984 .
