Cressida Granger
Cressida Granger (born July 17, 1963 ) is a British entrepreneur. She is the owner and director of the lighting company Mathmos , which was founded by the inventor of the lava lamp , Edward Craven Walker .
Career
Cressida Granger acquired Mathmos in 1989 and increased lava lamp sales from nearly £ 0 million to £ 18 million in ten years. As one of several managing directors, she has won two Queens Awards for export and various other business awards by increasing sales and marketing activities.
After buying all the company shares from her partner David Mulley in 1998, she founded the Mathmos Design Studio. Under her leadership, the team won various awards for their new lighting products in collaboration with external designers.
Granger graduated from Manchester University with a BA in Art History and worked as a dealer in design objects from the 1960s and early 1970s. Granger is the executive director of the Made in Britain campaign. This campaign advertises a brand for all products made in the UK.
Creative commercial activities
Cressida Granger served on the Government's Innovation Committee in 2003 with James Dyson and Terrance Conran. She was in numerous design competitions such as B. 100% Light, D&AD award ceremony or Design Nation jury member. She also occasionally works as a lecturer for management in design companies at the University of Design in Ravensbourge.
