CrossSound Festival

The CrossSound Festival in Juneau ( Alaska ) is a music festival founded in 1999 by the American gayageum player Jocelyn Clark and the German composer Stefan Hakenberg.

It takes place once or several times a year in different locations in Alaska. His focus is the artistic connection between different cultures and musical traditions. Composers and musicians from Asia, America, Africa and Europe work in thematically targeted projects with musicians and composers from Alaska. CrossSound is named after the Cross Sound Bay in southeast Alaska.
