Décime, Strasbourg 1814

Décime was the name for the French 10 centimes pieces that were minted from 1795 to 1800 (14). They were introduced along with the franc as part of the decimalization of the currency . The decime was initially an independent currency denomination on coins such as franc and centime; there were also pieces for 2 decimes. A linguistic variation is the US dime for 10 US cents.
