Dunkirk Treaty

The Dunkirk Treaty was a bilateral treaty that was signed by France and Great Britain in Dunkirk on March 4, 1947 as a mutual assistance agreement in the event of renewed German aggression with a term of 50 years. The treaty came into force on September 8, 1947.

On March 17, 1948, the Dunkirk Treaty was expanded by the Brussels Pact .
