Dallglas

Dallglas (from French dalle = tile ) is a not clearly transparent cast glass that is produced in a wide variety of colors. It is still made today in an old craft tradition. In pot furnaces is glass melted and the molten glass mass by hand into rectangular, on graphite plates poured lying, iron frame. A controlled cooling process ends the production.

The surface of the dalls is fire polished and smooth. The panels are used in a variety of artistic ways in architecture and interior design.
