Data product

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A data product (Engl. Data product ) refers to the result that is obtained by processing of measured data. Depending on the processing depth, a distinction is made between different levels, for example for satellite data:

  • Level -1: Data stream that is derived directly from the received data from a satellite.
  • Level 0: raw data, without auxiliary transfer data.
  • Level 1: Raw data, supplemented by additional information (recording time, location, etc.).
  • Level 2: Calibrated data.
  • Level 3: Consistent data set.
  • Level 4: Consistent data set, merged from several sources through sensor data fusion .
