Dawin (* 1990 ; full name Dawin Polanco ) is an American EDM musician from New York .
biography
Dawin grew up in Brooklyn and learned various musical instruments at an early age. He was discovered in January 2014 when he uploaded his piece Just Girly Things to a dance video by Alfonso Ribeiro on the Vine video portal . The label Casablance signed him a little later and released his song as a single. It reached number 28 in the US dance charts in April. After that, he mainly attracted attention through remixes, including Problem , a hit by Iggy Azalea .
The breakthrough for Dawin came in mid-2015. His song Dessert reached the top 10 in New Zealand and Australia and was awarded gold and double platinum. From November it was also released in Europe and the US and hit the charts in several countries. It reached number 5 in the US dance charts.
