Deipyle

Deipyle ( Greek  Δηιπύλη ) is a figure in Greek mythology . She is considered the daughter of Adrastus of Argos and his wife Amphithea.

An oracle prophesied to the king of Argos that this daughter of his was destined for a boar. When Tydeus came to Argos and wore the appropriate trophies in memory of the hunt for the Calydonian boar , Adrastus believed the prophecy had been fulfilled and gave it to Tydeus , a son of Oineus , to wife. She gave birth to their son Diomedes , a hero of Troy.
