The delegation of German business in Serbia is part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) , which has a presence in over 80 countries. The delegate office of German business in Serbia , based in Belgrade , was opened in 2001.

Since the establishment of a chamber of commerce abroad is not yet legally possible in Serbia, the delegation is a transitional form. The chamber is financed by income from the services offered by the DEInternational service department and a grant from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology .

The chamber sees itself as the first point of contact and service center for German companies that want to get involved in Serbia and vice versa. The central task of the Delegate Office of German Business in Belgrade is to promote German-Serbian trade and investments, to represent the interests of its members, and to support market development, market cultivation and business initiation.

German business association in Belgrade
The German Business Association in Belgrade (DWB) was founded at the end of 2003 on the initiative of the Delegate Office of German Business (DIHK) and numerous local German companies. DWB is based in the office of the Delegation of German Business.
It currently has over 120 members. The CEO is Ernst Bode from Messer Technogas Serbia. The DWB sees itself as representing the interests of companies operating bilaterally - between Germany and Serbia. With the support of the delegate office, it forms a network in the worldwide network of German chambers of commerce abroad.
The DWB offers its members events such as a monthly Members Dinner, at which guest speakers from politics and business can be heard, a summer party once a year, and other events that invite people to exchange information and network.
In order to further promote communication between German and Serbian companies, DWB also offers language courses in cooperation with the Belgrade Goethe Institute .
