Delft Instruments
Delft Instruments BV is the parent company of an international group of companies. It was created in 1990 through the merger of Oldelft Groep NV and NV Verenigde Instrumentenfabrieken Enraf-Nonius , two traditional Delft companies in the optical industry. The Oldelft Group was founded in 1939 by Oscar J. van Leer under the name Van Leers Optische Industrie. The predecessor of Verenigde Instrumentenfabrieken Enraf-Nonius was Eerste Nederlandse Röntgenapparaten Fabriek (ENRAF), founded in 1925.
After the merger to form Delft Instruments, the company bought a number of international companies and has since acted as a holding company . Your companies develop, manufacture, sell and maintain hardware and software for medical and industrial customers. The medical applications include cancer radiation therapy, X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics, and digital archiving of X-ray images. The industrial applications include control and management for the storage and transportation of oil and gas products. Delft Instruments develops customer-specific complete solutions, including software, hardware, maintenance and service.
Delft Instruments employs around 1,100 people and had 2006 sales of 243 million euros.
