Denim was a British band that released their first album in 1992 and was assigned to the Britpop . Denim's founder was the lead singer of the post-punk band Felt , Lawrence Hayward . His idea was to combine glam rock with humorous lyrics. Back in Denim was released in 1992, followed by the album Denim on Ice , which was released four years later.

Novelity Rock was released in 1997, and a single was also due out that summer that year. But this single, like the next album Denim Take Over , was never released.
