Carrier Foundation

The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation is a non-profit educational organization. It was created by an Act of Congress to erect a memorial in Washington, DC for the 100 million victims of communism named by the organization. The foundation aims to educate this and future generations about the history, philosophy and legacy of communist tyranny.

The victims were struck down in an unprecedented imperial communist holocaust through conquests, revolutions, civil wars, purges, wars by proxy, and other violent means. Totalitarian terror countenanced no challenge, from individuals, institutions, political parties, or faiths. Instead, it set out the "big lie" that a classless utopian society with human dignity for all was its goal, then cynically produced exactly the opposite in nation after nation which succumbed to its armed might, shameless intrigues, and hypocrisy.

Global Museum of Communism

A project of the sponsoring foundation of the monument is the Global Museum on Communism (ger .: Global Museum on Communism ), an online museum about the crimes of socialist and communist regimes, the victims of communism and the ideological foundations of communist rule.
