Death in the rice field is a non-fiction book by Peter Scholl-Latour from 1979/80. The author describes the Indochina War since the 1940s. The work has since been reprinted several times. The original edition was number 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list for 25 weeks in 1980 and 1981 .
