The magazine Deutsch-Hellas appeared as the "first illustrated reform magazine for the recovery of the entire national life at the same time as an organ of Buttenstedt's philosophy of feeling" in the years 1907/08. It is considered one of the first life reform journals .

The magazine was published by Hermann Dames in his Hellas publishing house. In 1907, the Hellas publishing house also published From Our Four Walls. 28 pictures cut freehand with scissors by Margarethe Baum with texts by Ms. Alma Blasius . Various articles by Alma Blasius have also appeared in Deutsch-Hellas . Further publications by the publisher are not known.

In addition to his own articles, Dames published several articles by Carl Buttenstedt, in particular by Georg Fuhrmann, also under the pseudonym Egbert Falk, but also texts by Fidus and Richard Ungewitter in the magazine .
