German-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The German-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DSIHK) is a voluntary business association to which more than 440 companies and institutions belong. It was founded in 2005 as the 57th German Chamber of Commerce Abroad and is based in Bratislava . It is the largest bilateral chamber of commerce in Slovakia.

The Chamber has the legal status of a Slovak legal person. More than 400 companies and institutions from Slovakia and Germany are among its members. Jürgen Knie has been president of the AHK Slovakia since 2017. The highest organ of the chamber is the general assembly. The board elected by her consists of the president and seven other members. He determines the main focus of the AHK and prepares the resolutions of the general assembly. The Executive Board member, Peter Kompalla since 2018, is responsible for running the day-to-day business.

tasks

The most important task of the AHK Slovakia is to promote trade and economic relations between Germany and Slovakia. She represents the interests of the German economy in Slovakia and supports Slovak companies in opening up the German market. These tasks and interests also include vocational training and further education, trade fairs and the environment.

Business areas

The content-related work of the AHK Slovakia is divided into the areas of training and further education, fiscal representation, market advice, trade fair support service, member service, law and taxes as well as economics / publications.
