founding

The company was founded in May 1989 with the knowledge that only a few citizens in Germany leave a legally impeccable will after their death. According to statistical calculations by banks and insurance companies, around 1.7 million inheritance cases with a total value of around two to three trillion euros had to be processed in the 1990s. President is RA Peter E. Ouart.

aims

The DGE has set itself the goal of informing citizens about the provisions of inheritance law , inheritance tax and gift tax law and encouraging entrepreneurs to plan their corporate succession in good time.

The DGE offers its members further training in the field of inheritance law through specialist conferences and seminars on inheritance law and inheritance tax law topics. By including foreign members, international requirements are to be taken into account.

Finally, the DGE accompanies developments in legal policy and tries to work towards regulations that meet interests.

The further and advanced training of the members is promoted through specialist conferences and day seminars. Every year there is a central two-day seminar event that is also open to non-members.

At the same time, the members form a national and international network of experts in the field of inheritance law and corporate succession, who also work together in the handling of major inheritance matters and the execution of wills.
