The war cemetery consists of 19 rectangular fields. Almost 400 standing stone crosses mark the graves in them. Names, year of birth and death are indicated on the crosses. A high cross made of oak from the 1950s indicates the memorial site. It stands on a memorial wall made of red Weser sandstone with a viewing platform. The six coats of arms of the separated eastern areas of East Prussia, West Prussia, Pomerania, Silesia, Upper Silesia and Sudetenland are attached to the memorial wall.
