The Sparkasse newspaper (own spelling with inner major : SparkassenZeitung ) is published by the German Savings Banks and Giro Association . It is aimed at all employees, from the board of directors to trainees of the member institutions of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. The SparkassenZeitung sees itself primarily as a daily updated online medium (sparkassenzeitung.de), there is also an app available; the print edition appears monthly.

The newspaper mainly deals with topics from the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe as well as politics and business. The portal sparkassenzeitung.de also contains a job market and an appointment calendar with events from the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.   • Further channels are gradually being integrated. This makes the SparkassenZeitung the central source of information in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.
