Digital company account

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The digital company account is an online platform to be developed by the federal state of Bavaria with the aim of enabling companies to process applications with the help of a new digital solution in electronic form in the same way in all federal states.

On February 7, 2020, the Bavarian State Office for Taxes and the Senator for Finances of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen announced that the digital company account will be developed on the basis of ELSTER technology. In the IT planning council, Bavaria and Bremen were commissioned to roll out the digital company account for all federal states. Bavaria's task will be to create the technical and practical requirements for implementation on an ELSTER basis.

The digital company account is to be implemented in two stages: the first pilot procedures are to begin in 2020. The first functions (e.g. authentication and organization certificates) should be available in 2021. A nationwide uniform company account should be in use in 2022.

As an advantage of ELSTER as the basis of the digital company account, the aim is that companies have been connected to this solution for years and that employees are already familiar with the system.
