The DEST or DÉST ( diplôme d'études supérieures techniques ) is a university diploma issued by the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM). The DEST is a degree after four years of university studies .

According to the information of the Department of computer science of the University of Darmstadt was this diploma officially with a letter dated March 2001 by the Secretariat of the Standing Conference , Central Office for Foreign Education as professionally qualifying university degree recognized in Germany: "The DEST can undoubtedly finish off a four-year university studies in accordance with French university law Regulations will be identified and will therefore also be recognized in the Federal Republic of Germany at the level of a professional university degree after four years of study . "
