The Dolnośląska Fabryka Maszyn Elektrycznych (German "Niederschlesische Elektromaschinenfabrik") based in Wroclaw is a Polish manufacturer of electrical machines (generators and motors). Today the company mainly produces generators for hydropower plants, such as B. for the Keselstrasse power plant in Kempten .
From 1947 to 1990 the company was called Dolnośląskie Zakłady Wytwórcze Maszyn Elektrycznych ("Dolmel"). In 1990 the company was taken over by ABB , which sold it again in 1999. In 2003 today's DFME was founded.
