Dominique (director)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dominique is the name or pseudonym of a French director. In the 1920s he was next to Bernard Natan the most important director of pornographic films in France, although this role is now being questioned by Natan.

Dominique's films are set in a petty-bourgeois milieu. In his sometimes realistic subjects, he observes his mostly lustful heroes and heroines in sometimes dangerous niches in their everyday world, where they indulge their sexual desires. The films have names like A la Cuisine (1922), Les Modistes (1923), Le Prince et le Groom (1924) or Après la Classe (1925).
