Double nose
Double nose is a term used in gardening shops to classify the bulbs of daffodils . The nose of the bulb is the name given to the ends of the bulbs from which the leaves emerged. Double noses have - as the name suggests - two noses, which means that the plant will develop two groups of leaves and two inflorescences. Onions with only one nose, which are typical for daffodil classes 3 and 9, are offered with a round nose .
Double noses are the common form of trade for most types and varieties of daffodil. The trade distinguishes between DN1, DN2 and DN3, with DN1 being the largest onions.
